Limited Lifetime Warranty
STRATTEC Security Corp. warrants, to the original retail purchaser, its BOLT Series products to be free from defects in workmanship and materials for so long as product is owned by original purchaser; normal wear and tear, abuse and misuse excepted.
STRATTEC Security Corp.’s obligation under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement, at its option, through its distribution channels. To obtain service under this warranty, the purchaser must return the defective lock to their original place of purchase, and is subject to the retailers warranty policy.
If the retailer refuses to accept a warranty return you may contact STRATTEC Security Corp at firstname.lastname@example.org or (877) 251-8798. STRATTEC Security Corp reserves the right to contact the retailer to confirm their refusal to accept the return.1
If the defective lock was purchased from www.BOLTLOCK.com please contact STRATTEC Security Corp. at email@example.com or (877) 251-8798, for a return material authorization (RMA) form. The original purchaser will need to return the product with the RMA form to, STRATTEC Security Corp. 3333 W. Good Hope Rd. Milwaukee, WI 53209, at the original purchaser’s expense.
Upon receipt of the returned item and verification, STRATTEC Security Corp., if it determines that the defect is not due to normal wear and tear, abuse or misuse, will repair, or at its option replace, and return the item to the owner.
Any items replaced by STRATTEC Security Corp. shall become the property of STRATTEC Security Corp. STRATTEC Security Corp will retain the option to repair or replace any discontinued BOLT Lock item for a period of 2 years after the date of discontinuation. After this time STRATTEC reserves the right to replace a defective lock, if stock is available, or offer an alternative product of equal or lesser value.2
STRATTEC Security Corp. shall not be liable for the loss of use of vehicles, loss of time, inconvenience, cost or removal and/or installation, or any other incidental or consequential damages related to the failure of a BOLT Lock.
This warranty is expressly in lieu of other warranties, express or implied, including the implied warranties and merchantability and fitness. There are no warranties, express or implied, that extend beyond the warranty period. This warranty shall be void if the product has been altered, abused, or misused.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have other rights which vary from state to state. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, and do not allow exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations and/or exclusions may not apply to you.
1 Please note that STRATTEC Security Corp will not accept returns of BOLT Locks purchased from non-authorized retailers. If there is a question regarding if a retailer is an authorized BOLT retailer please contact STRATTEC Security Corp at firstname.lastname@example.org or (877) 251-8798.
2 The value of the defective lock is determined by STRATTEC Security Corp as the MSRP of the product at the time of discontinuation, or at the date the RMA is issued.
